From Naples Airport to the apartment
Best-value route · Alibus + Line 1
Best for most daytime arrivals with manageable luggage.
- Outside Arrivals, follow signs for Alibus and buy the airport ticket before boarding or from an accepted official channel.
- Take Alibus to Piazza Garibaldi / Stazione Centrale. ANM publishes an indicative airport-to-station journey of about 15 minutes, but traffic can add time.
- Enter Metro Line 1 at Garibaldi. Take the train toward Centro Direzionale.
- Exit after one stop at Duomo. Follow signs for Piazza Nicola Amore; Palazzo Nanà is approximately ten metres from the station entrance.
Ticket note: ANM lists Alibus at €5. The integrated Unico Alibus version includes eligible urban connections for 90 minutes; confirm which version you are buying if you intend to continue by Metro.
Easiest with luggage · Authorised taxi
Use the official taxi rank outside Arrivals. Tell the driver “Piazza Nicola Amore due, Palazzo Nanà, vicino Metro Duomo.” Before the taxi moves, ask whether an official fixed fare applies to the exact destination; if you accept it, the Comune di Napoli says the fixed fare should be requested at the beginning and documented with a receipt before departure.

03 · Napoli Centrale
From the main railway station
Fastest public transport · Line 1
- Inside Napoli Centrale, follow the blue Metro Line 1 / Metropolitana signs to Garibaldi station. The underground route is long; allow extra time with bags.
- Buy an ANM Metro ticket from the machine, use a valid digital ticket, or tap a supported contactless card at the enabled gate.
- Board toward Centro Direzionale, not Piscinola.
- Ride one stop to Duomo and exit toward Piazza Nicola Amore.
Walking
The apartment is roughly a 15–20 minute walk from the station depending on pace and exit, but city paving, crossings and luggage make the Metro or a taxi more comfortable. Walk along the main Corso Umberto I axis, keep bags secure and use marked crossings.
Taxi
Use the official rank outside Napoli Centrale. Ask the driver for the meter or applicable official fixed tariff before moving, and request a receipt.
04 · Ferries & cruises
From the Port of Naples
Molo Beverello / Stazione Marittima
- Follow signs from the ferry or cruise terminal toward Municipio Metro. Port security routes may alter the exact walk.
- Enter Line 1 and board toward Centro Direzionale.
- Pass Università and exit at Duomo.
- Use the Piazza Nicola Amore exit; the apartment is beside the station.
Porta di Massa / Immacolatella
These ferry areas sit farther inside the commercial port. With luggage, take an authorised taxi from a signed rank or follow current port signs to the nearest safe public exit. Alibus also stops at the port on its airport route, but for the apartment a short taxi can be simpler than travelling away to Garibaldi and back.
If you arrive on a cruise, allow time for ship disembarkation and the walk through the terminal. Do not use a route proposed by a stranger inside the port unless they are clearly part of the terminal or licensed taxi service.

Fixed fare or meter?
Naples publishes an official taxi tariff. Fixed routes must be requested at the start of the trip and documented before departure; otherwise the meter and applicable supplements govern the fare. Ask clearly—“tariffa predeterminata?”—before the vehicle moves. Do not rely on an old blog price because tariffs and route definitions change.
- Confirm that card payment is available before departure if you do not have cash.
- Keep the receipt, especially for airport and port journeys.
- For four passengers plus large luggage, tell the dispatcher what you need.
- A late-night, holiday, airport or luggage supplement may apply under the official tariff unless included in an agreed fixed fare.

If you arrive late, tired or with mobility needs
Late arrival
Send your live arrival estimate to the host through Airbnb or Booking.com. Line 1 runs later on Friday and Saturday than on most other nights, but never assume your final connection; check ANM’s live notices. A pre-booked licensed taxi is the safest simple option after service ends.
Heavy luggage
Garibaldi’s interchange corridors are long. A direct taxi from the airport or Napoli Centrale may be worth it for several suitcases, small children or anyone who finds long underground walks difficult.
Step-free travel
ANM reports accessible paths on Line 1, but individual lifts and escalators can be temporarily unavailable. Check current station accessibility with ANM before travelling.
